I Yoshida Sakura and I represent my country, Japan.I born long time ago near Kyoto. Kyoto is main city in Kinki region and is in center of region. Kyoto was capitol of Japan until Meji period when it move almost 400 kilometers to Edo which is now called Tokyo. I grew in Gion district where I raised to be entertainer. I learn sing, play koto, shamisen, biwa and flute, dance, paint, do poetry, flower arrangement and more. It not easy but I love it. I try be Yamato Nadesico which is word for ideal Japanese girl. I still try. I can think of nothing better to be. I love entertain and singing is love most When I first come Edo I lost and scared and alone but I play my koto and sing and that make me feel better. Even though almost everything different from what I know, people still like music so that show me it still Japan and we still same. When I first arrive Edo I sing on street like many other in park ands now theater stage and dome. When I sing I not lonely. I feel complete and not afraid.  It is what I train for and what I born to do. When sing I feel my heart go free and it touch others so they can feel what is inside me. It is more than what I do it what I am.In Japan there music everywhere, temple bell, taiko drum, hiker song and traveler flute. You hear music in rain and wind through trees. Japan sing to us and we sing back. Maybe that why I love music and sing so much. It is part of me and never get weak or goes away.  Japan beautiful see mist rise in mountain, light through trees in forest, sun on water, beautiful cloud, lovely snow, tree and flower bloom. This beauty why art is deep in Japanese soul. In modern era everybody think of Japan as one big city full people. To them Japan means car, electronic and robot. They not see most of Japan is little village, small farm, mountain and forest. While we look like other place big city that not really Japan and never will be. That where you find real Japan.   What is Japan? Japan is me. What you see today is like makeup on face. There so much more behind it. Take it away and you see we old and not change. We adapt but stay true to what we are. Japan and its people are inseparable. Our spirit, heart and soul are same as our ancestor. Even those not in Japan carry Japan with them. It easier for rock to become bird than for Japanese person to be anything else. This give us our strength and our ability to survive and thrive no matter what. We are not just people but we land and land is us. Mountain, forest plains, every Japanese have that in them and always will.Japan land never still. It have earthquake and volcano and landslide. That must cause pain to land but it still go on. We like that too. We bear hurt pain and sorrow and keep going. Like land, we survive. Japan is Japan. Like me our present and our past are one. When I look and see rising sun I see our Endless Melody.
